Exodus 15:2 The Lord is my Strength and my Song, and He has become my Salvation; this is my God, and I will praise Him, my fathers God, and I will exalt Him.
Driving to work this morning I noticed a tree in the neighbors yard that I had never noticed before. The tree has been there for the ten years that we have lived next door to them. Probably the tree was there fifty years prior to that and there is a good chance that it was there a hundred years before that.
Why this tree had never gained my attention before is beyond me. It is a tree of great character and strength that I immediately named “Storybook Tree”.
It is amazing the marvelous things that our God does. Putting an absolutely perfect tree in my neighbors yard and making this mornings sunlight so that I would notice this absolutely perfect tree. God in His Power, today, showed me this tremendously old tree that I have gone past at least 7,762 times so that I could Praise Him for the Great and Wonderful Things that He does! My parents found their Strength and Salvation in God. God is now my God and I find the same Strength and Salvation that my parents found and it is there for my children to do the same.
I sing to You Heavenly Lord! I Praise You with all that is in me! Be my Strength and Salvation! Let me shout Your Name, YHWH! Forgive me for the times that I do not Praise You the way that You so deserve. I ask that I can be a useful servant to You helping to spread Your Word to those in need. In YOUR GREAT NAME I pray, AMEN!
