Come Lord Jesus
|You ought instead to say, if the Lord is willing, we
shall live and we shall do this or that. James 4:15
Plans, I make them all the time. I consult my husband, my mother, my children, my
sister, my brother, my neighbor, my second cousins best friend, the garbage collector,
just to name a few. I always want everyone to be clued into the plan I don't want one
little thing to go wrong. I have the road map highlighted and an agenda planned and
again I converse with my husband, my mother, my children, my sister, my neighbor, my
second cousins best friend, the garbage collector and if need be the mayor. Everyone
acknowledges that it's a great plan and my confidence is at it's highest level.
Then, for unknown reasons the plan starts to unravel, little by little until there is
nothing left to do but to create another plan. So, I again consult my husband, my
mother, my children, my sister, my brother, my neighbor, my second cousins best
friend, the garbage collector, the mayor and this time the governor. Everyone again
acknowledges that this is the plan of the century, no reason why it won't work, but
again little by little it unravels. Why would a plan that has been taken to so many
people and approved fall apart? Perhaps I don't have the correct consulting group - I
forgot to consult God.
Dearest Father, remind us always that YOU are the GREAT I AM, that everything in
our life goes through YOU for YOUR approval. Grant us the wisdom to listen to what
YOU ordain. Let YOUR Will be done not mine, so that I can serve YOU. In Your Great
and Holy Name I pray. Amen.
