Proverbs 27:1, 25-27

Do no boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a
day may bring forth.

On September 10, 2001 I felt very safe.  I had a good day job, my husband had
a good night time job we had our schedules worked out so that the kids didn’t
have to go to a babysitter or day care.  I was even picking up a few freelance art
jobs and putting away some savings.  I knew we were safe and tomorrow would
be a great day.  What I didn’t know was that the next morning would become the
infamous 9/11.  My world, as well as every other American, was rocked.  True I
lived in the Midwest and not near the epicenter.  I did not lose a loved one and it
truly took months before the backlash effected my world.  Within a year I had lost
my day job, because lack of building throughout the US, the freelance jobs
became few and far between and all of the savings were gone.  If anything my
problems were few compared to others but they were problems.

Since that day we all live in a new world and wonder what will this day bring
making it imperative that we let GOD have our life, our yesterday’s, our today’s,
and our tomorrow’s.  If we do not go in to each day letting GOD bear our
burdens and KNOW without a doubt that GOD will provide then perhaps we
should not even get out of bed.  It is an uncertain world but we have a certain
GOD. GOD never changes.  GOD always loves and GOD provides for His
children.  “Do not fear little flock!”

There will probably be more 9/11’s in our life that is why we have to let GOD
have our life.  We will not be helpless we have almighty GOD in control.

Dearest Father GOD we Praise YOU and thank YOU for all of the blessings that
YOU give to us!  Please, remind us constantly that the world is YOURS and that
YOU are with us at all times, even during times of tragedy.  Help us to serve You
and to carry YOUR WORDS to those who are in doubt.  Amen.
